Liquid Syllabus Video Script

Here’s a sample of the video you are re-creating. The script will vary based upon the number of facilitators. Please plan to

C6: Script for Mike & Vivian

[Mike – re-use clip] Hi there and welcome. I’m Mike Smedshammer. I am the Distance Education Coordinator for Modesto Junior College. I also facilitate courses for @ONE, the online training branch of the California Community College system. In my role, I help faculty find new ways of teaching equitable and awesome online classes.

[Vivian – re-use clip] And hello, I’m…. I work at… and in my role as…., I focus on… (etc.)

[Mike – re-use clip] If you’re wondering what we’ll be doing together over the next six weeks, spend some time looking around our Liquid Syllabus.

[Vivian – NEED NEW CLIP] What you learn in this course will help you connect with your students, and we think it will make your online teaching feel richer and more rewarding too.

[Mike – We have this old clip from C1/2 if you can find it?] Video is a big part of that, particularly in STEM gateway courses where equity gaps persist.

[Vivian – re-use clip] Isn’t it nice to be able to see and hear your facilitators in this course? We’re really looking forward to collaborating and sharing with you. See you online!

C5: Script for Kim, Alex, Frank, Sumaya

[Kim – new clip needed] Hi there and welcome. I’m Kim Vincent-Layton. I work at… and in my role as…., I focus on…

[Alex – we will re-use your last clip for this line] Hi there and welcome. I’m …. I work at… and in my role as…., I focus on…
